About Us - Company Information

Past generations of the Goglanian family had built and operated grain mills in the early 1800’s within the Mediterranean. During the next 150 years, that know-how continued through four generations of machine builders who transformed it into our current technology. Thanks to generations of tool & die makers and inventive artisans, a unique baking technology exclusive to our company has been developed. We have proudly maintained the distinctive taste and freshness of our products across generations.

In 1948, Alexander Goglanian brought his knowledge and experience to America. He applied modern techniques and automation to improve process equipment capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously. As his reputation grew, so did his opportunities to expand his expertise eventually leading his family with seven children to California. Jet Propulsion Laboratories contracted Alexander to build his first furnace used to solder solar cells for a satellite to Mars for NASA. For the next fifteen years, Alexander with his two sons, George and Sam at his side, began innovating the world’s fastest high temperature baking ovens. These unique ovens would be the backbone of Goglanian Bakeries Inc., which would officially be founded in 1978.

Since then, Goglanian Bakeries Inc. has moved and expanded nine times, encompassing 242,000 sq. ft of modern facilities on 55 acres. The two facilities in Southern California and South Carolina are strategically located for providing diverse bread products worldwide
